With great sadness, we announce the passing of Marlene Cooke on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Tudor Personal Care home, at the age of 92 years.
Left to mourn Marlene’s passing are her children, Dwight, Wesley, Lori, Patti (Rich) and Kelly (Mary-Ann); grandchildren, Bev (Todd), Michele (J.C.), Brian, Raven, Xandra, Kristy (Ryan); numerous great-grandchildren; her sister Dairdrie Frost and many other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Kelly; parents, Russell and Edna Cromarty; brothers, Gerald and Alan; and grandchildren, Brenda Cooke and John Orvis.
Mom was born on January 18, 1933, in Selkirk, Manitoba and lived there the majority of her life. She graduated in 1964 as an RPN, while raising five children, working at SMHC with pride until retiring in 1988. She was a very honest, kind and loving person. Truly, a one-of-a-kind mother.
She loved all sports, especially basketball, bowling with numerous trophies, curling, golfing, etc. Mom also loved gardening, painting and bird watching.
Mom was happiest spending time with her family camping, traveling, picnics, sightseeing and relaxing at the cabin.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Tudor Personal Care Home for their gentle and caring ways shown to Mom. Also, to Gilbart Funeral Home for all their help.
